I will study novel ways of detecting and interacting with a new type of particle, known as a Majorana fermion, that may one day be used as the basis for a topological quantum computer.
I’m an experimental physicist working on topological quantum computing with Majorana bound states. My goal is to develop new ways of interacting with these exotic states of matter to better understand how and why they form, with the aim of building nanoelectronic devices with functional topological elements. Outside the lab, I’m interested in commercializing research into successful technologies, and promoting science to the wider community.
