Biography

I aspire for a world in which communities actively engage to create age-friendly environments where older adults can meaningfully contribute and participate. My PhD project seeks to create and validate a novel social engagement index for predicting dementia risk and wellbeing in late life. It will investigate the relationship between social participation and brain ageing across ethonoracial groups and cultures so as to progress dementia risk identification and management. Through future social enterprise I hope to find new and exciting ways to connect at risk populations to resources and supports. I like to spend my free time traveling, tinkering on the piano, playing Hockey, bouldering, or attempting to surf.
